At The Brain Physio, our vision is to provide clear, specialised, and genuinely effective neurological physio and occupational therapy, while building a service model that is sustainable for both clients and clinicians.
Neurological conditions can be complex.
Care should not be.
A Note from Our Founder…
“I opened The Brain Physio in December 2023 after working for many years across public health hospitals in Australia and the UK, private practice, and community disability services within large not-for-profit organisations in Australia.
During my time in these settings, I witnessed poor treatment of staff, severe burnout, and ongoing pressure to meet high billable targets. The focus was often on money, with clients treated as a “money factory” rather than as individuals.
Therapists were commonly managing caseloads of around 80 clients with complex neurological conditions, making it impossible to provide a high-quality service or intensive input when it was needed. This model led to very high staff turnover, and many clients experienced a new therapist every 4 to 6 months, significantly reducing continuity of care.
I was driven by a need to create a service where the person with a neurological condition and their needs come first, not the number of clients seen or billable hours achieved.
I wanted to build an environment where staff are supported, not overworked, and where their capacity to take on new clients is respected. When clinicians are able to look after themselves, they are better positioned to support others in a sustainable way and bring genuine passion to their work.
I firmly believe in quality over quantity, and this principle is embedded in how The Brain Physio operates and always will be.
I value feedback highly. If you ever witness behaviour that does not align with these values, I encourage you to contact me directly. I would genuinely like to hear from you.”

CLARITY COMES FIRST
Neurological symptoms can be confusing and frightening. We explain what’s happening in clear, plain language so people can understand their condition, engage in therapy, and move forward with confidence.
SPECIALISED SUPPORT
Our clinical focus is Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), concussion, stroke, and acquired brain injury. By specialising, we deliver deeper expertise and higher-quality care where it matters most..
INTENSITY MATTERS
Neurological rehabilitation is driven by intensity and repetition. We follow current evidence and often recommend intensive therapy blocks of 6–8 weeks, with 2–3 sessions per week when appropriate. We are one of the few providers in Perth able to offer this.
THE RIGHT HELP
We take a whole-person approach and work closely with a broad network of skilled clinicians and services. If additional or alternative support is needed, we help guide clients to the most appropriate next step.
EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE
All care is grounded in clinical research, ongoing professional development, and experience. We stay current with neurological physiotherapy evidence and continually refine how we practise.
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
We do not operate high-volume caseloads. Manageable workloads allow our clinicians to provide continuity of care, thorough assessment, and intensive input when needed, without rushing or compromise.
CLINICIAN WELLBEING
Sustainable care depends on sustainable clinicians. We prioritise realistic workloads, work–life balance, and professional support so our team can deliver high-quality care over the long term.
THE INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCE
No two people experience their condition in the same way. We take time to understand each person’s situation and provide tailored physiotherapy that aligns with their needs and goals, guided by evidence and clinical reasoning, not assumptions.
ACCESSIBLE NEURO FUTURE
We are working towards an expanded online education and consulting model for clients and health professionals, improving access to quality neurological care regardless of location.
